Make the Most of the Conference

Here is some information to help you make the most of your stay in New Orleans!

It’s been a decade since SIOP was last held here in my adopted home of New Orleans. A lot has changed since then, but the good news is that most of the things that make our city so unique have not. I hope that everyone who is traveling here for the conference will take a good look around them and appreciate the magical environment that our city has to offer. Part of my duty as a good host is to provide some interesting insight and tips. I hope these small pieces of information will help guests to our city to make the most of their visit.

What does RSS do? How does it make things “easier” for me?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a publishing format that pushes headlines from all your favorite Web sites to you, rather than requiring you to visit all your favorite web sites multiple times per day. Simply put: whenever new information of interest to you is posted on a site that you like, you can choose to have that information sent to a central hub of your choosing… in real-time. From this hub, you can read all of the headlines of interest to you from all of your favorite sites.
